You will begin to see results around the 4 hours, but your tan will continue to develop for up to 24 hours after application.
Our tanning products do not contain SPF which means they do not protect your skin from the sun’s rays and should not be used as a replacement for SPF. Our products are intended for sunless tanning, and we always recommend using adequate SPF and sun protection when outdoors.
Tip: Mix our Liquid Bronzer with your face SPF for a extra glow.
Our Tanning Water and Tanning Foam contain no guide colors, dyes, or pigments which means they go on clear and develop gradually over the next 24 hours. This is an intentional choice to limit the amount of transfer onto clothing, sheets, or towels.
Our products are formulated with the gentlest and cleanest ingredients possible for safe use on all skin types, including sensitive and acne prone skin.
We care about ingredients– our tanning products contain Glycerin & Aloe Leaf Extract to hydrate skin, as well Chamomile Flower Extract to soothe and relieve skin. Full ingredient lists are found on each product page.
It is not required that you shower after applying SALTYFACE Tanning Foam or Tanning Water, but it is helpful to know how long you should wait after applying to see the results you’re after. The longer you leave the product on, the deeper the tan will become, up to 8 hours.
Regardless of when you rinse, your tan will reach its deepest colour 24 hours after applying.
We recommend applying the Tanning Water every 2-3 days to maintain your tan. If you have a skincare routine that uses highly active ingredients, you may want to apply more frequently. Your bottle of Tanning Water will last 4-6 months with regular use.
For the Tanning Foam, we recommend applying once a week to maintain your tan, or up to 2-3 times a week for a deeper tan. If you're a weekly tanner, old product can build up on your wrists, elbows, or knees, so be sure to exfoliate these areas weekly. The Tanning Foam bottle will last 4-6 months with regular use.
The ingredients in our products should give you no reason for concern when it comes to pregnancy and breastfeeding. We use gentle and clean ingredients so you can feel good about what you put on your skin. Though we do recommend speaking with your doctor if you are hesitant.
The Tanning Water can be mixed into any of your regular skincare products like serums, moisturizers, or face oils. Just add a dropperful or more into your palm and mix with the product before applying to your face. Alternatively, use the Mist Top and Brush to blend Tanning Water onto your skin at the end of your skincare routine.
Yes, you can use the Tanning Foam on your face if you don't have sensitive skin. Our Tanning Water is a more sensitive formula which makes it an ideal choice for your face, but the Foam will also give a gorgeous glow when applied! Both are great options.
The Tanning Brush is smaller, more flexible, and has longer bristles than the Body Brush, which makes it perfect for blending the Tanning Water seamlessly into the hairline and down the neck. The larger surface area of the Body Brush makes it great for covering larger portions of your body while keeping your hands clean.
Wash the brush regularly with warm, soapy water and leave it to air dry.
