At Saltyface, we’re committed to the impact we have on our planet, those who live on it, and our role within the beauty industry. We’re focused on minimizing our environmental impact, continually reassessing and reducing our carbon footprint, and regularly supporting organizations that drive meaningful change.

We believe in doing things right—every decision is an intentional and responsible one, from our ingredients and manufacturing, to our packaging, pricing, and partnerships. We don't cut corners.

Our Sustainability Efforts

We intentionally manufacture all of our formulas close to our head office and fulfillment center located in Vancouver, BC. This approach helps minimize transportation needs, lowers our carbon footprint, and conserves energy resources.

By manufacturing close to our head office, it allows us to produce responsibly, limit our waste, and maintain our high-quality standards. We prioritize local sourcing of materials whenever possible, further reducing our transportation requirements and emissions.

We prioritize recyclable and compostable materials over plastics and other environmentally harmful substances whenever possible. Our formulas are intentionally packaged in low waste, reusable or recyclable materials – paper, aluminum, sugarcane, and glass.

We offer refills of our Tanning Foam in infinitely recyclable aluminum bottles, encouraging the reuse of our glass bottles instead of their immediate recycling. This effort is part of our ongoing commitment to reduce waste, with plans to expand refill options in the future. Our Liquid Bronzer comes in a fully recyclable tube made from sugarcane, providing a plastic-free alternative.

We minimize unnecessary plastic in our manufacturing and shipping processes. We’re continuously looking for innovative and creative packaging solutions to find ultra-sustainable alternatives to get our products to you. We have big plans for what this will look like for us in the future.

We’re proud to be able to offer 100% carbon neutral shipping. This is accomplished by offsetting the carbon emissions that are generated by your order.
