Exceeded expectations. The face brush is easy to use and was fool proof for a beginner self tanner user like me. It’s the perfect amount of tan and doesn’t look orange or fake, just healthy. Have been using for two weeks and have gotten several nice comments about how healthy my skin looks as well as my skin tone. 10/10.

I’ve never used a tanning product in my life but I’ve been wanting to simplify my makeup routine and with dry skin during the winter my foundation wasn’t applying very well. I’ve been using the face tanning water for a few weeks now and I love it! I applied every day for the first three days and now I reapply every two or three days for maintenance. I’ve been complimented on how “tanned” I look and no one has mentioned I look orange. I don’t use my foundation anymore so I’d say this product is a huge win for me!

Super simple to use, results are a nice bronze, not orange at all. Only think is there is a lingering smell that is similar to other self tanners. I am quite sensitive to scent, so some people may not notice it. I did have some transfer of colour to my light coloured pillow case when worn overnight.

Easy step to add as part of my daily or bi-weekly skincare routine. I'm so pleased with the results - the brush feels very luxe and makes the water go on very evenly. I have breakout prone skin but this product hasn't irritated it in the slightest. I definitely plan to buy more once I run out.
If you want your tan to last I recommend against applying it over a heavy moisturizer or retinol based products. Similarly, using AHA/BHAs or physically exfoliating scrubs will make your tan fade faster.

I love this product - the perfect amount of summer glow! Don't be fooled like me on your first application - you really only need 3 spray pumps!! It didn't initially feel like enough so I added 2/3 more and the next day I was a little too orange for my liking!
Kept it to 3 pumps on my next application and that amount is PERFECT!!
I sleep with white sheets and I haven't noticed any marks on them even when applying at night time. It also fades nicely, it doesn't go patchy like other tanning lotions. Highly recommend!

I love it! I use it every morning (or sometimes every other morning because I gently exfoliate often). I'm not one to use foundation or heavy make up every day (I have acne prone skin), so au naturale is my jam - the tanning water is the perfect addition to my easy morning routine. I wash my face, apply eye serum and then brush it all over (ears and neck included), apply concealer right where I need it, and voilá.
This doesn't irritate my skin - hallelujah.
I'm excited to also have a glow all summer long without needing to catch some sun (hey, wrinkles - I see you).

I wanted to really love this product but the colour was a bit much for me at the peak of its development. Someone who didn't know that I was using it mentioned I was looking a bit orange! Yikes. I really liked the tone about 8 hours in.
I do think that maybe I used too much on my first go. I've been waiting for a period where I won't be seeing anyone to try it again/closer to summer!
I will say that my skin is super sensitive but I had no problems using this product.

I love the soft brush and spray head to make application super easy! I have very fair skin and it’s nice to add a hint of color to my beauty routine. It looks natural and I love how clean the ingredients are! If you’re on the fence, definitely give it a go!

Sad to say this isn’t the best face tanner I’ve used in regards to my skin tone and personal preferences. The top two photos are in bathroom lighting of a before bare face and an after-Salty Face a few days (and a few applications) later. The bottom pictures were taken on the same day as the top after application photo, but in front of a window in natural light.
Color: It leans yellow on my skin. Bare faced, with no tanner, I am fair-toned with red areas. Salty Face left me “golden,” but not in the natural tones my face tends to tan in the summer.
Application: It really is a water consistency and I find it difficult to apply with bare hands. There is very little spreading with 1-2 drops per the directions. The spritzer head + brush is much easier to use, but it is hard to gauge how much you need this way. It took 3 applications over two days to reach my desired depth of color.
Brush: The brush felt easy to use, but after the tan developed it was clear my hairline and around my eyes/nose had not been buffed in enough. Even after a week of applications (mostly every other day) and a special attention to blending, I can’t say the brush accomplishes what I would like it to.
Developing: The color does take 24 hours to develop. This is listed as a pro, but I found it much harder to know how much to apply beforehand. It was - and still is - a bit of a guessing game. I find a slower developing time to be a personal preference.
Longevity, two ways: The bottle seems as if it would last an exceptionally long time based on how much I’ve been using per application. I can’t speak to longevity of the tan itself, but even with using a gentle cleanser after the first application a day later, most of the color seemed to fade away. I used a bit on my hands to test body color and they also lost color fairly quickly.
Skin reaction: It must be said first and foremost that correlation is not causation. I have noticed small breakouts (the first of which you can see in my afters), blackheads, and an increase in oil production within days of using Salty Face. I cannot say these are because of Salty Face, but I will need to monitor the way my face reacts if I continue to use it.

WOW! I am so impressed with this product. The tanning water goes on so well. If I spray it on my face and chest and blend it with the brush, it's the perfect amount of colour without being too orange or dark for me. It also seems like it would be easy to build up to a darker shade if I wanted. So happy I purchased.

The new formula feels much nicer to apply. The other one I found almost foams a little bit and this one goes on easier with more gentle movements.
